Akash Basmati Rice:
Basmati Rice is a well known long grain rice variety traditionally cultivated in North India, Pakistan and Parts of Iran. The word Basmati is derived from Sanskrit word vasmati, meaning “fragrant”. Basmati rice has delicate flavor and a nice medium density bite. It is excellent for most asian dishes, as well as rice pudding and fried rice.
Every grain of Akash basmati is perfectly aged in Himalayan sunshine. Akash basmati rice is selected only from the finest grains from the heart of Punjab valleys and insist that each one is rested to age naturally in the warmth of the Himalayan sunshine, creating a superior quality basmati, that is always fluffy, fragrant and tasty.
Cooking instructions:
Akash Basmati rice is a perfect accompaniment to Indian curries and is used in biriyani and pilaf dishes. Add 60g of Basmati to a large pan of boiling water. Cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes.. Drain well, cover and let stand for 3 minutes then lightly fork through the gains and serve.
